Malship (Ceylon) Limited evolved as successors to Maldives National Trading Corporation (MNTC) that was incorporated in 1949.
In 1972, with the Sri Lanka Government nationalizing the foreign equity in Shipping and Shipping Agencies, Malship (Ceylon) Limited was formed as a local entity to perform the Agency functions for the vessels owned and managed under the Maldivian flag.
Over the past several decades, Malship (Ceylon) Limited has expanded its activities by representing many International Shipping Lines in the Conventional and Container Shipping trade.
Today, Malship (Ceylon) Limited has become a premier Shipping services and Logistics provider in Sri Lanka.
